Summary, etc. The relationship between mass media and farm women has been given scanty attention in the past Conse quently, research data on rural women as such, specially in the context of mass media are not easily available The insignificant attention paid to rural women in the context of mass media is mainly because of less importance attached to farm women and lack of realization to treat them as a special category of audience. The erroneous impression about low media exposure of farm women was also partly re sponsible for this situation. This book highlights the impact of mass media on farm women and serves as an indicator of developments yet to take place in the Indian villages.

102.23 3ha

Data on different demographic char acteristics of farm women are well brought out in the chapters on profile of Rural Women and would be of im mense use to those working for them.
