| Summary, etc. | <br/>About the Book The book gives a brief account of Afghanistan's historical, geographical, socio-cultural and economic perspective and then analyses the factors of failure of Afghanistan. The book spells out the efforts that the international community has taken to restore Afghanistan post Soviet withdrawal and analyses gaps in those efforts that have led to the present status. It analyses the possible effects after the withdrawal of the NATO forces from Afghanistan post 2014 and points out the possible way ahead to stabilize Afghanistan. The author points out that the world has to now think of "Collective Survival" rather than 'Collective Security' or 'Collective Defence', as the conflicts against non-state actors has taken gigantic proportions and hurts the entire world community. |
