Dey, first as Community Projects Administrator and later as Union Minister for Com munity Development, to the Develop ment Commissioners of the States and other workers engaged in the pro gramme throughout the country.<br/><br/>These extracts afford a synoptic view of the growth of the Community Development movement from stage to stage. At the same time, they offer an intimate glimpse into the thinking underlying the changes in policy and in emphasis from time to time.<br/><br/>The author in his Introduction makes a rapid survey of the growth of the movement over a decade from 1952 to 1962. The appendices pro vide further factual information. |
