India, the oasis of democracy as rightly described by the apex court which gave a revolutionary verdict in 2004 general election bewildered every pundit, expert analyst, exit polls calculation and survey observers as nothing happened according to this thumping. All kinds gimmickry and maneuverability came to nothing. Political maturity shown by the voters was consequently the result of evolution of democratic attitudes since the inception of democracy of India.

N.D.A Government did not even think of that their shining India, foreign origin of Sonia Gandhi. Atal Bihari Vajaypee's as an ultimate choice, road map of progress slogans will not work. It has hoped to generate mass movement in their favour in election scenario. But positive approach of Sonia Gandhi and meaningful welfare of the Aam Adami paid a rich dividend. She never hoped to gain fantastic success and numbers and become leader of masses in one stroke.
Galaxy of leaders in the N.D.A had a whirlwind tour of India, Rath Yatra of L..K Advani brought out in the length and breadth of India could not achieve the desired results but to their utter dismay road shows of Sonia Gandhi rewarded Congress handsomely where she had made people realise that nothing unusual has happened in Vajpayee's Governance rather drought, unemployment, floods, slow starvations, economicaly weaker and marginalized section of the people were drenched in debt from head to foot and committing suicides. She sympathized with the bereaved families which did wonders where as electronic and purchased media campaign not only went unsung, but shattered N.D.A's dream of winning with a thumping majority and forming Government single handedly.
