Readings in population research: policy, methodology and perspectives

This book makes an interdisciplinary coverage of perspectives on policy, methodology, ecological and cultural basis and consequences of population growth as also the extensive review of population studies of the recent past in two major countries of Asia viz., China and India.
Among the contributors are some of the eminent scholars from countries like the U.S.A., Europe, Canada, China and India. The policy papers on Germany and Taiwan form two major models of success in population stabilisation in a developed and a developing countries. Freedman's paper on Michigan model of population training may inspire appropriate human resource development in population studies.
