Development plans and planning: bibliographic and computer aids to research

Summary: As an economist who has had no library science training, this bibliographic work was undertaken with some trepidation and with a clear realization of its possible shortcomings. Notices from overlooked compilers of relevant bibliographies and directors of neglected documentation centers are therefore especially encouraged. Perhaps any criticisms and notices could be passed on through the publisher of this book. Undertaking such a book opened up a new world of the librarian and the bibliographer. It was a particularly enjoyable five years of part-time work, correspondence, short visits to various documentation centers and lengthy conversations with some dedicated and brilliant librarians about their problems. This relaxed comparative examination of the "state of the art" of research on development planning bibliographies certainly strengthened my admiration for the skilled bibliographer and librarian talents most take too easily for granted.
