Summary: This book deals with political parti cipation in the frame of socio-economic change over the period in Independent India. The basic guiding assumption for this work has been that the behaviour of individuals is influence by their percep tion formed over the period under the socio-economic conditions and changing it over the period. These changes are tried to be gauged at inter-generation, Intra-generation caste mobility and future expactation level. And then in fluence of the percention or Political behaviour is analysed for the Political Elites and the voter seperately. This study is conducted at inter-level to have deep understanding of this phenomenon. This study may be useful for the Administrator, Political and Social Scientists and the decision-makers who take into account the behaviour of the people for implimenting various projects effecting people ingeneral.
