Theory and practice of family welfare planning

By: Contributor(s): Material type: TextTextPublication details: New Delhi; Thompson Press; 1977Description: 104pSubject(s): DDC classification:
  • 304.6 THE
Summary: Theory and Practice of Family Welfare Planning aims at giving the history and methods practised in the past as well as a scientific basis for the methods which are being recommended today. As the subject is of national importance, emphasis has been put on the approach to the problems of family planning in India where eighty five per cent of the population lives in villages and where millions of rupees have been spent without producing the desired result. We are convinced that no impact will be produced unless the family welfare movement is successfully carried to the rural areas. If we do not succeed, the result will be disastrous by the end of this century.
