Angami Nagas, a major community in Nagaland, has extensively been studied by many scholars in recent times; but not a common platform for a common reflection on the research findings. The focus of this volume is mainly on the problems and issues faced by the Angami community at the beginning of this 21st Century ranging from language, politics, media, education, environmental depredation, health, youth, unemployment, social development, old age, gender issues and the like.
This book consists of well-researched. articles, grouped under seven main sections, containing eighteen chapters, contributed by learned scholars of repute.
Definitely, this volume is a welcome addition to existing knowledge on primitive tribes of India, particularly Nagas. This will benefit scholars of Sociology, Anthropology, History, Polity, Economics besides policy planners, administrators and social activists at large.
