Summary: It has been said that the proper study of Man is man, and this is a truism which is so trite that it is generally disregarded. Man devotes himself to the study of every thing in heaven and earth, but does not care for the study of himself. Anthropology, the study of Man, is the youngest of the Sciences, and everybody is aware of its vast importance. It is a science full of interest and usefulness.
