Guidelines for Industries Part-1 - Policy & Procedure was last published in January, 1982 and since then liberalisation in a substantial measure in the industrial policy and licensing procedure has been brought about particularly recently. It was, therefore, felt that the compendium on Industrial Policy & Procedure should be brought uptodate for facility of easy reference to entrepreneurs and all those who are interested.

This edition of Guidelines for Industries has accordingly compiled all information on the various aspects of industrial policy and procedure since 1980 and contains several other useful documents such as Industrial Policy Resolutions of the Government, the Industries (Development & Regulation) Act and Rules made thereunder and other policy pronouncements. Besides, it contains the usual features pertaining to policy and procedures, documentation relating to industrial licensing, various notifications and press notes issued from time to time for the guidance of the entrepreneurs.
