Terrorism and international law / edited by R. P. Dhokalia and K. Narayana Rao

By: Material type: TextTextPublication details: New Delhi; Indian Society of International law; 1989Description: 150 pSubject(s): DDC classification:
  • 341.77 TER
Summary: The present collection of papers deals with only some selected international law aspects of terrorism: political terrorism, State terror, and terrorism and human rights; these are the themes which have generated considerable debate at various forums. Acts of State terror too often create a political, economic and social milieu that precipitates acts of political terrorism and which vitally affect human rights. Given the difficult nature of the subject of terrorism, I reckon it is a sufficient achievement for the contributors to this volume to have focused attention on the core of the subject which demands immediate attention of members of the international community.
