These detailed projections show total population by age and sex, birth and death rates, migration levels, population growth, fertility and reproduction rates, infant mortality, and life expectancy. Included as a new indicator is the age dependency ratio, which compares the population und-25 and over 64 years of age to the working age population. Mortality, fertility, and migration rends are Highlighted. The methodology used in making the projections has been revised to remove much of the subjectivity of population forecasting and to provide proper differentiation among countries. The introduction describes the new methodology and includes an expanded Est of data sources.
