Aspects of democratic government and politics in India.

Dr. K. R Bombwall is a well-known author and teacher of political science and has lectured to degree and postgraduate classes in three universities for twenty-nine years. a large number of academic bodies and, since 1949, he has been a member of the Uttar Pradesh Educational Service. At present he is Principal, egree College, Pithoragarh (U. P.). For two years, Dr. Bombwall was in Vietnam where he worked as Conference Secretary and, later, Political Adviser to the Indian National Delegation in the International Commission for Supervision and Control.
He has been connected with Government Dr. Bombwall has published nearly two dozen research papers. Among books written by him are Indian Governnent and Politics, tional Systems and The Foundations of Indian ederalism. Some of his papers have appeared in such research studies as South-East Asia in Transition, Essays in a ederalism (eds. S. P. Aiyar and Usha Mehta) and Union-State Relations in India (ed. S. A. H. Haqqi).
Major Contemporary Constitu Dr. L. P. Choudhry took his B. A. (Hons.) in 1939 and his M.A. in Political Science in 1940 from the University of Lucknow. In 1950, he received the Ph.D degree rom the same university for his thesis, Second Chambers in Federations, with Special Reference to ndia, which has since been published. He has been closely associated with Lucknow University since 1940 and has over 20 years experience of teaching political science to undergraduate and postgraduate students. He was on the staft of St. Andrews College, Gorakhpur (1949-51) and, since 1951, he has been a lecturer at the University of Lucknow. In 1950-52, he was a member of the Editorial Board of the Indian Journal of Political Science and was, for several years, a member of the Executive Com. mittee of the Indian Political Science Association.
