Summary: Decades ago it had been Guatemala and then Brazil, and then in 1973 Chile, and now again EI Salvador : these are some of the issues and events challenging the conscience of the world. The search led me to the monsters of the modern world: the Transnational Corporations. The in 1976 there was a reference to the American magazine fortune, and its list of the transnationals started exciting the imagination. In 1977 echoes from Srilanka reached us; and certain seemingly inexplicable incidents began occuring in our own country. I thought it would be a worthwhile exercise to study the Transnational Corporations.
