Resource mobilization in Pakistan

A collection of papers contributed to the National Seminar on Resource Mobilization held in December, 1980

The Pakistan Administrative Staff College is happy to present in this book the papers and the deliberations of the National Seminar on Resource Mobilization organized by the Pakistan Administrative Staff College Lahore from 9 to 11 December 1980.

This institution is charged with the duty of manage ment development for the policy formulation and imple mentation level in Government and public enterprises sec tor, and for the same level from abroad. One of the methods through which we serve this cause is to hold national seminars on issues of current significance in the fields of economic development, social policies, manage ments, and finance. The last seminar in the series was on Management of Public Enterprises in 1978, and its deliberations and recommendations were published by us in a book form last year which has received extremely encouraging response from within the country and outside.. In the meantime some other issues have been agitating the minds of economic planners in the country and in con sequence 'Resource Mobilization' for national develop ment has emerged as one of the extremely crucial elements requiring indepth study and analysis for our economic development. This seminar was organized with great success in December, 1980.
