Summary: This publication shows the latest available statistics (without time series) for each of over 200 countries, areas and territories, grouped into five main tables comprising statistics on: (i) The number of workers and the per centage of women who are in the econom ically active population, employment and unemployment by age group, branch of economic activity (industry), occupation. status in employment and level of educa tion: (ii) Total population, activity rates and unemployment rates by sex and broad age groups: (iii) Number of workers in paid employ ment, their average hours of work and earnings, by sex and branch of economic activity (industry); (iv) The rates of fatal and non-fatal injur ies by sex and branch of economic activ ity (industry); as well as the number of strikes and lockouts, the number of work ers involved and the number of days not worked by branch of economic activity (in dustry): (v) Consumer price indices by expendi ture groups. It also includes a Supplement with global and regional estimates on the economi cally active population, employment and unemployment. Data are published, wherever possible. according to the latest versions of the following international standard clas sifications: International Standard In dustrial Classification of all Economic Activities (ISIC), International Standard Classification of Occupations (ISCO) International Classification of Status in Employment (ICSE) and the Inter national Standard Classification of Ede cation (ISCED).
