12 th International Conference of National Trusts

Material type: TextTextPublication details: New Delhi; Intach; 2008Description: 558 pSubject(s): DDC classification:
  • 338.9 HER
Summary: The Volume of Papers presented here does not have all the presentations made during the course of the Conference and listed in the Conference Programme. This is because some of the presenters chose an extempore method of delivery and were unable to convert these lively presentations into text. Some did not offer the copyright clearance required; and some did not submit papers we requested despite reminders. Yet others regretted their inability to comply with our deadlines. Thus, we have had to regretfully omit some papers. In accordance with the Guidelines sent to all presenters well in advance of the Conference, we have also had to drop papers which were received but not personally presented because some participants did not attend the Conference. And lastly, some papers were received which were well over the length stipulated; those papers whic could not be edited by their authors have also been omitted. Even so, this Volume certainly does not lack for richness and variety. Its contents encompass the themes of the Conference, expressed in voices from across the world, sharing a range of experiences from a wide spectrum of societies and cultures. It is this very diversity which makes for a fascinating Volume, and one whose value, we hope, will extend well into the future.
