Social development organisation assisting in empowerment of people. An organisation or group of people working independent of any external control with specific objectives and aims to fulfil tasks that are oriented to bring about desirable change in a given community or area or situation. An independent, democratic, non-setarian peoples organisation working for the empowerment of economic and/or socially marginalised groups.
Civil society has entered the discourse of policymakers, scholars, journalists, NGOs, and laypersons in much of the world. Along with this global spread of civil society, certain scholars envisage the emergence of an international civil society
An organisation not affiliated to political parties, generally engaged in working for aid, development and welfare of the community. Organisation committed to the root causes of the problems trying to better the quality of life especially for the poor, the oppressed, the marginalised in urban and rural areas.
