Summary: 1. SHG should have the practice of weekly meetings, weekly savings and internal lendings 2. The meeting day, meeting time and venue should be decided 3. Electing one Presiding person for conducting weekly meetings 4. Every meeting should start with prayer 5. Late comers, absentees without prior intimation, loan defaulters should be fined upto Rs.5 or an amount decided by the group members. 6. Savings, repayments or any transaction should take place in the meeting only. 7. No member should go out in the middle of the meeting 8. The member designated for presiding over the meeting should deposit the money in the bank 9. All withdrawals should be as per the members' collective decision and a resolution to that effect. 10. Rotation of Leadership for every 2 years 11. Group should have a trained book keeper engaged and paid by SHG 12. All members should learn how to sign 13. Every month 2 representatives of the SHG should attend V.O meeting with Monthly monitoring reports. 14. Individual problems, community level issues like drinking water, sanitation, street lights and social issues like child marriages, alcoholism etc., to be discussed (Social Agenda)
