There have been a few judicial pronouncements in relation to computer related issues (particularly in connection with indirect taxation) but the larger issues that Western Courts are currently grappling with remain as yet unexplored by the Indian judiciary. This book seeks to analyse both the development of the jurisprudence under Western legal systems as well as the applicability of the principles laid out in those courts within the framework of fodian legal system
The hook lores essential features of software contracts, their relevance in the Indian legal system and the emergence of new paradigms in the conventional approach to contract formation, product quality in relation to hardware and software, protection of intellectual property and the impact of the newly amended Copyright Act and the relevance of patent protection of software in the Indian Legal System.
