This volume contains cases under three sections Land, Water and Livelihood; Human Development and Social Services; and Public Interface with Government. An attempt has been made to highlight the operating mechanisms and the key strengths that have contributed towards their success. The objective of this document is to facilitate inter-state comparisons and encourage the replication of these initiatives in other parts of the country. A feedback form is given at the end of the volume to seek your views and valuable suggestions, which could be incorporated in the next edition.
