Summary: The aim in this study is to examine current practices in private sector involvement in municipal services in selected Indian cities and to look at the legislative and institutional framework for it. With growing experience of private sector involvement, it will be possible to evolve an efficient, economic and equitable solution to the impending crisis to urban services management.
