Summary: This is the seventh edition of Sir William Wade's classic work on English administrative law. Always lucid, perceptive and scholarly, Wade is rightly regarded as an authoritative work of reference and is frequently cited with approval in the higher courts. Though the basic structure of the work has been retained, much of the text has been completely rewritten in the light of the continuing development of administrative law, particularly in the courts, but also through the decisions of tribunals and in the activities of a growing number of regulatory bodies. A unique aspect of this work is that while it remains an ideal book for undergraduate law students studying administrative law for the first time it is also a widely used work among practitioners.
