Summary: This book embodies both Managerial Economics and Applied Economics. Very often, we have found that students enter the managerial economics course with varying degrees of knowledge of the subject, some having majored economics at undergraduate level, other having not studied economics at all in college. Keeping the above in view the material has been designed accord ingly. The use of calculus in the text has been purposely limited. By and large, numeri cal tables and graphs have been included to illustrate the quantitative aspects of the economic terms and concepts. In addition, for discussing the applications of economic theory, various tools of analysis that are helpful to managerial decision-making but do not form a part of the core of traditional micro-economic theory are Included. The basic approach involves introducing the concepts of managerial economic and then using concepts to analyse situations and problems faced by managers. Many of the chapters have real-life case studies which will be of great interest to the readers. Inclusion of a large number of numeri cal problems and review questions from the real commercial world will surely make the title more purposive.
