Summary: With a view to introduce professional management and compress the schedule of implementation for Sardar Sarovar Project from 17/22 years to 10/12 years, the Government of Gujarat established the Sardar Sarovar Narmada Nigam Ltd. (Nigam) in April 1988. Right from its inception , the Nigam has been making concerted efforts to evolve an ethos of corporate culture and develop dedicated professional management cadres committed to achieve the goals that the Nigam has set before itself.
