This exercise was carried out to identify the most common elements in Community Policing initiatives and analyzed them.Community policing needs to be "issue-centric with a system backing and it can't be person-centric". There are three basic elements essential in the structure of a Community Policing initiative. The integrity of any initiative is revealed through cohesion and interdependence of these three basic elements. This is the touchstone of integrity in any Community Policing initiative. Hence, it is imperative to understand the three basic elements of Community Policing initiatives. The following are the three core elements identified which provides integrity to Community Policing initiatives.
