The ILO and India-In Pursuit of Social Justice is the first study undertaken in India to assess and evaluate the impact of the ILO on Indian labour and social policies and the Indian response and commitment to fundamental goals and objectives of the ILO. The ILO symbolises social justice, uni versal lasting peace and human dignity which are also the sheet anchor of India's policies and programmes which it is pursuing in the fulfilment of her obligation towards her people.
