THIS HANDBOOK aims to provide the student with material for examination but in such a way that the significance of long-term movements in history is made clear. It is hoped that it will meet the needs of candidates for the G.C.E. at Ordinary and Advanced levels, the Business History examination of the Institute of Marketing and Sales Management and the Inter mediste Social and Economie History examination of the Local Government Examinations Board. It should also prove of value to students of Modern Economie History in the Part 2 external B.Sc.(Econ) of London University.
In so far as economie theory and economie history are complementary studies, the book may be of assistance to the general student of economics.
