To start development and self-sustained growth in stagnant society the industrialisation is regarded as tested tool. But such approach is basically promoting urbanisation, industrial complexes, large scale production, capital intensive techniques etc.
The book aims to provide overview of the basic strategies on the theme of the book. It presents pro-ideological, anti-ideological synthesis and envisages new strategies on development and industrialisation of the country. It has eight chapters namely three on poverty and economic development, three on industrialisation, and one each on science and technology and concept of neo-development.
