It involves the exploration and development of the complex interrelationship between the watershed resources and the population of the region and has opened up new vistas in agricultural development and helped in improving and stabilizing crop production. The publication outlines the concept of watershed evolved at the Central Soil and Water Conservation Research and Training Institute, Dehra Dun, and the experience gained by this Institute. It represents case studies and discusses the disciplines involved in and the contribution made by them towards watershed management and development.
