This volume brings together, suitability edited, the papers prepared for the interregional Workshop on Privatisation sponsored by the United states development programme (UNDP) at Templeton college, oxford, during May 1988. Part I contains my basic working paper and the background material provided by the consultants. Part II codifies country experiences in Asia, Africa and Latin America, as presented by the participants in the Workshop, who represent the top levels of expertise in public enterprise matters in the different regions.
Part III represents a review of the major issues of substance and aspects of experience, in the light of the documentation. For a complete idea of the discussions and conclusions of the Workshop one may refer to the Report on the Interregional Workshop on Privatisation, distributed by UNDP.
