The Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage is a wholly autonomous body, set up for the conservation of our natural and cultural heritage. The society aims, with the ac tive participation of its members, to create an awareness among the public for the preservation of this heritage, by act ing as a pressure group when any part of it is threatened by damage or destruction arising either out of private acts or public policy.
INTACH will undertake pilot conservation projects; promote the preservation of traditional arts and crafts; organise and facilitate workshops, study courses, conferences and fectures; and undertake the publication of a journal, books, pamphlets, newsletters, and so on, from time to time in any area relating to conservation.
