This book deals with the working of opposition parties in Indian democracy. India has parliamentary political system in which the role of opposition can not be ignored. Opposition are inevitable for the proper functioning of parliamentary political system. If the opposition performs its functions effectively and properly, the political system of the country does not loose its relevence. If the opposition becomes unalert and self centred the efficacy of the country's political system becomes doubtful.
The opposition is required to remain alert and vigilant and well informed about the activities of the ruling parties. It must keep continues political communication with people to keep them well informed as to what the Govt., has been doing and what are the omissions of the Govt.
