Summary: Rural Development and Resource Conservation are thrust areas attracting attention of planners, administrators, politicians and researchers. Latest concepts of resources, eco-struc ture, and ecological design relating to human settlements are used. Graphics is used to illustrate concepts easily. The research work documented in the book should be very evealing to the metro-planning authorities and decision makers for rural development. The material is highly useful for teaching and further research. The book provides food for thought to all those concerned with total development of rural community.
