Government of India have announced many schemes of incentives, facilities, concessions etc., from time to time, for development of industries and market for industrial products in all the sectors of the country. The State Government have also declared schemes of incentives corresponding to the Central Govern- ment Schemes. This involves frequent changes in policies, schemes and cumbersome procedure. Books earmarking the Government policies, schemes and procedures on incentives etc. have not yet come much in publication. India Investment Publication has felt the need of the Enterprise and compiled 'Guide on Central & State Govt. Incentives for Industries' to update the enterprise with such information. The policies, facts, figures, schemes, statements, procedures etc. appearing in this book are informative, illustrative and are compiled from Governments' declarations, press notes, notifications, manuals & reports etc.
