Environmentalists all over the world have been voicing great concern about the immediate need not only to preserve biological diversity but to protect soil health, water resources and habitats, which are crucial to productive agriculture and the well-being of people. In Conservation for Productive Agriculture, some of the world's most eminent scientists share this deep concern with the readers and suggest an action programme to preserve the quality of our biosphere.
