Based on action research in several countries of Latin America, the authors have put together a methodology and a variety of techniques for the production and dissemination of knowledge among the rural poor as a mode of empowering them. Dr. Orlando Fals Borda is head of the Punta de Lanza Founda tion, an action research organisation in Bogotá, Colombia.
