Summary: "Party Politics in India" is a companion volume of the "Annual Register of Indian Political Parties". While the Annual Register provides full texts of documents adopted by the national political parties, without comment or anything approaching an explanation of factors, "Party Politics in India" explains the background of these documents and brings to the fore, political manoeuverings of various parties and political groups at the centre as well as in the states. It also includes editorial comments and political analysis by the esteemed national newspapers, besides recording all impor tant events and statements of political significance.
