Entrepreneurship Development is a book that presents a new approach to the interdisciplinary criteria for the measurement of entrepreneurial personality, and correlates the success status to the social, educational and occupational antecedents of the entrepreneurs. Besides analysing the development of the concept of an entrepreneur and research on entrepreneurship, the book gives a very vivid and picturesque panoramic view of the socio-cultural economic renaissance that preceded the entrepreneurial upsurge in Kolhapur, a town well-known in India for its small scale engineering industry.
The author has developed very comprehensive psycho-socio economic criteria to measure the development of the entrepreneurial personality. He has measured the success status of entrepreneurs in the small-scale engineering industry in Kolhapur by applying these criteria and has correlated their success status to the social, educational and occupational background of these entrepreneurs.
The entire book is written in a lucid manner. It discusses subtle and complex concepts in a very simple language.
