The book has been thoroughly revised, updated and enlarged. In the process, a number of new tables have been added and also some existing ones have been rearranged to enhance further the usefulness and coverage of the book. Additional statistical information has been provided to highlight the performance and the present position of the economies of different states and regions. The sectional commentaries have been suitably revised and enlarged wherever necessary.
