  • 338.9 CHA
Summary: This work is the result of the author's years of research into the economy of a socio economically backward area inhabited by tribal people having different socio economic and cultural structure. It is an empirical study bringing out the facts that the economic development of the area is unevenly balanced, agriculture is still in primitive stage, it is still deficit in input product and there is an imbalance in the primary, secondary, and tertiary sector of the economy. It is indeed a pioneering work, and throws light on hitherto unknown or less known problems and issues, which are of considerable importance for the national economy. The author has taken care to specify the bottlenecks and constraints that are expected to arise in the process, and suggested concrete measures for overcoming them.
