The purpose of the treatise is rather social-philosophical. And the method employed here is the method of factual, conceptual and verbal analyses in ordinary language, the method of descriptive metaphysics. A synthesis of three standpoints-that of philosophy of religion giving the end and those of philosophy of education and philosophy of history giving the means, this treatise fulfils the needs of a syllabus in general education, especially of a syllabus in problem-integrated education.
