State politics in India/ edited by Iqbal Narain

By: Material type: TextTextPublication details: New Delhi; Meenakshi; 1976Description: 620pSubject(s): DDC classification:
  • 320.1 STA
Summary: The book opens with a developed, thoroughly revised and somewhat refined version of the analytic framework, with which an effort has also been made to identify the more important research work that has been done in the field of state politics in India and abroad and also to indicate untapped research areas. It is hoped that the surveys of state politics in the present volume, though built around a common analytic framework only in a broad way, would still yield notes towards a theory of state politics in India. Incidentally, it may also be mentioned here that a modest effort has been made to identify and piece together these notes by way of a summing up at the end of the volume.
