LAW OF THE PRESS is encyclo paedic in that it contains all the common and statutory laws, and the leading judicial decisions rela ting to the Press. A study of such restrictive laws is essential in as much as the ambit of the freedom in any country varies in inverse ratio to the extent and gravity of the restrictions imposed by such laws.
The subject of this book originally emanated from the authors' Asutosh Lectures of the Cainta University, delivered in 1978. The contents, however, have been marshalled as a book with embellishments and modifications in the light of legis lative changes and judicial decisions reported since then.
Distinguishing Features
The book is an indispensable guide to lawyers, journalists, students of Political Science and Law, the Bench and the Bar.
