The problem of unemployment is haunting the minds of planners, economists, political leaders and social reformers as well. Unemployment among the educated youths has created serious social problems, which is evident from the position of crimes, and the criminals, in the society today. This is why the problem of unemployment in the country in general and in the State of Bihar in particular, attracted the author, to go in depth into the problem of unemployment and to find out a feasible, reasonable and desirable solution, keeping in view the socio-economic and political situation of the country.
In the present study the author has examined the nature and extent of employment and has presented a model which would maximise out put and employment in the various sectors of the economy.
