The book attempts to study and evaluate empirically some important operational relationships viz., the impact of Government regulations and other controls on the working of Indigenous Financial Agencies, the effect of expansion of commercial and co-operative banks on them i.e., agencies' lending policies. Some policy implications of the future role of these agencies in the banking and credit structure of our developing economy are presented in the final chapter.
