Dissertation note: Some aspects of environmental perception in the core city of Ahmedabad. Summary: The predominant thought in this study is on man environmental relationship which evolves around the concept of phenomenology or geo-psychology. The idea is to comprehend the way they live in , the way they use it or experience it everyday. The study attempts to analyses residents sensitivity to various environmental problems in the core city of Ahmedabad. Resident's perception regarding the environmental quality their image and behaviour have been analyzed both in qualitative and quantitative manner, through absolute and relative means . With the help of a sample of 2,500 residents an attempt has been made here to understand the process of image building so that environmental policies can be meaningfully implemented on a micro-level.
