Agricultural production has increased due to intensive cultivation and with the use of modern technology which has also lead to progressive increase in the amount of waste lands. In India where pressure on agricultural land is enormous any conversion of agricultu rally productive land into waste lands has to be avoided and area which have already turned into waste lands must be reclaimed.
