Summary: This textbook is a humble endeavour of the academic as well as practicing advocates to explain the contours of Moot Court, Mock Trial and art to and of advocacy. We have tried to explain the subject with our modest experiences in the respective fields. We do not claim expertise in the subject. There are good scholastic books by the scholars on this subject, such as Professor Glanville Williams Learning the Law and Tim Kaye and Lynne's Blackstone's Book of Moots. However, Observer Book of Moots is not available in the libraries of law schools of India. Materials on Moots imparted at Inns for Bar training are also not available in India; persons trained for Bar at Inns have not shared or disseminated to Indian law students their experiences. We felt the dearth of a book on the deep insights of the subject from Indian legal training perspectives that could provide basic rudiments to the niche law learners who need intensive training in court craft through the genesis of Moot Court and Mock Trial at the law schools of the Indian Universities.
